A luxurious Champagne parlour and bar is opening in Sydney’s QVB

Don a tiara, pop the bottles and get ready to Reign at the QVB.

Standing as one of the most architecturally regal buildings in Sydney, it makes only sense that a luxe Champagne parlour and bar is now getting ready to open its doors inside the QVB. Get ready to pop bottles at Reign at the QVB from Friday 15th March, the grand opening giving parched shoppers a new decadent point of refuge.

Taking over the level-one space that was once the ABC store, Reign is set to ooze grandeur, fit out in marble, brass and baby pink hues. Late night revellers can also rejoice, as the new bar is staying open until 2am from Thursday to Sunday, and until midnight during the rest of the week.

As for the all important drinks list, you’ll find over 150 Champagnes and sparkling wines on offer.

Sip on a tantalising range of Champagnes by the glass – G.H. Mumm Grand Cordon, Pierre Gimonnet, Laurent-Perrier and Nathalie Falmet all making coveted appearances on the menu. For those with a penchant for Perrier-Jouët, you’ll also find a range of NV and vintage tipples, the 2007 Perrier-Jouët ‘La Belle Epoque’ Brut Épernay coming in at a cool $75 per glass.

For those looking to try a few different Champagnes and sparkling wines, take your pick from a selection of tasting flights. Ranging from $35 – $95 (including 4 x 75ml tastings), you can now sip your way through the varieties and styles of the diverse land of Champagne.

The food menu features a range of suitably luxe nibbles, including Sydney rock oysters, kingfish crudo, duck liver mousse and steak tartare. Those who arrive with a bigger appetite can otherwise indulge in the cumin chilli meatballs ($22) or the Okonomiyaki burger ($22), made with a beef patty, sweet and sour peppers, smoked tofu and spicy mayo.

In addition to the new Champagne bar, revellers can also expect a brand new New York-inspired supper club. Located upstairs from Reign, Esquire will be opening its doors Friday 28th March. Offering more of a sit-down meal experience in relation to its downstairs companion, Esquire comes fit out in plenty of leather and oak, setting the tone for the new high-end space. Both venues will be open until 2am from Thursday to Sunday.
