On the ground floor of the luxurious Pacific Building in Bondi Beach is where you’ll find The Pacific Club, a chic bistro and beach club open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Golden brass fixtures decorate the interior, with marble countertops, bespoke mosaic art, and luxe cream coloured booths. You might pass by in your swimmers and think to yourself, “I can’t go in wearing only speedos” But don’t shy away! In fact, the all-day dining precinct is inspired by the everyday lives of Bondi locals and encourages all diners to come in whatever they feel comfortable in. Bikinis and kaftans or high heels and sparkles. Gone are the days of dress codes and formalities.
The Pacific Club Bondi serves up fresh local and Australian native produce. A customised wood fire grill sits behind the open plan kitchen, allowing a touch of nature and a diverse range of flavours to be brought out in the dishes. The restaurant also has a raw bar on display, featuring local catches such as Sydney Rock Oysters and fresh prawns.
Dining starts at 7am, perfect for all the early birds. For breakfast, order the Pancake Pacific, a soft souffle stack with summer berries and lemon curd. Or for savoury lovers, try The Pacific Club Omelette, filled with tomatoes, basil, cheese and wilted spinach. By the time lunch rolls around, indulge in The Club’s Seafood Tower, loaded with the freshest seafood like Ballina prawns, scallops, king crab, and even caviar to top it all off. Dinner makes for a great date night or catch up with friends and family. The extensive entrees and mains list is a crowd pleaser, finished off with desserts such as the lavender panna cotta.
The drinks list is nothing short of impressive, with plenty of Australian wines to choose from and those from New Zealand, Italy and France. The cocktails have been designed to complement the food menu perfectly, drawing on the spirit of Bondi – free flowing, light, colourful and playful.
With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, The Pacific Club Bondi is the place where day easily slips into night; and what a better way to enjoy it than being right next to the beach.
