Australia is set to score the largest loaned collection of works from London’s National Gallery in 2021.

Save the date: a new exhibition called Botticelli to Van Gogh: Masterpieces from the National Gallery, London is coming to Australia from March 5th to June 14th, 2021. Finding its home at the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra, this inspiring exhibition will feature 60 renowned European masterpieces.
And when we say masterpieces, we really mean it. The NGA will be graced by the presence of iconic European artworks in the largest batch of artworks to venture outside of the UK in London National Gallery’s history.
Get ready for masterpieces including Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, Rembrandt’s Self Portrait at the Age of 34, plus Vermeer’s A Young Woman Seated at a Virginal. Plus, there’s a bunch of high profile artists gracing the NGA’s walls, including Titian, Velázquez, Goya, Turner, Renoir, Cézanne, Botticelli, El Greco, Constable, Van Dyke, Gainsborough, and Gauguin.
The Botticelli to Van Gogh exhibition will take you through some art Europe’s most exciting artistic periods, tracing over 450 years of artistic creations. There’s work from the Italian Renaissance, the best of British portraits, 17th Century Spanish art as well as works showcasing the birth of modern art.
