The Real Greek Chef Returns To MOLO For A Limited Time

Eat, Restaurants, Sydney / 28 February 2023

Giannis, better known as The Real Greek Chef, is taking Sydneysiders on a culinary journey through Greece from MOLO’s waterfront location on Finger Wharf.

For those wishing they were sipping Aperols in Santorini and watching the sun go down over the water, we’ve got the next best thing lined up! MOLO, Woolloomooloo’s adored Aperitivo wine bar has invited Giannis (The Real Greek Chef) back for round two of MOLO HELLENE. For a limited time, his authentic Greek dishes will be on the menu allowing you to experience the true flavours of the Mediterranean without leaving Sydney!

Giannis has that friendly Greek nature we all know and love having grown up in Larissa, a popular city in Athens. He immigrated to Australia in 2017 and has since been sharing his passion for Greek cooking with us. ‘The Real Greek Chef’ social media account is a treasure trove of culinary inspiration for many featuring mouth-watering recipes, cooking tips & tricks, and insights into the rich traditions and flavors of Greek cuisine.

MOLO’s Executive Chef Daniel Hughes is excited to welcome Gannis to the kitchen from Tuesday 28th February – Sunday 5th March. The menu will take guests on a culinary journey through the authentic flavours of his childhood in Greece. Pair this with the unbeatable waterfront views of the Woolloomooloo Wharf and you have an alfresco dining situation that takes you straight to Greece without the need for a boarding pass.

Smaller plates include grilled pita bread, fresh taramasalata and tzatziki dip, saganaki with Greek honey and wild oregano, zucchini fritters, WA Fremantle octopus, and Spring Bay mussels with feta, capsicum and parsley.

Larger plates include grilled stuffed calamari with kefalograviera cheese, Rock Lobster spaghetti with Cognac and a punchy bisque, daily market fish fillet with potatoes and artichoke, NSW Sovereign slow roast lamb shoulder, and a whole live lobster.

In the true spirit of Mediterranean cuisine, all dishes are designed to share in good company. Being an Aperitivo bar, MOLO has an incredible selection of Italian wines and signature cocktails to pair each dish with.

MOLO is a small venue on the Woolloomooloo Wharf with limited alfresco seating so we suggest booking in early to avoid missing out.
