Celebrate Middle Eastern culture in the heart of Sydney

To comemmorate the end of Ramadan, COMMUNE and Act For Peace have teamed up to bring Sydney a night full of Middle Eastern flare and fun. COMMUNE studios in Waterloo will transform into a night market full of street food, stalls and entertainment.
To spread love throughout the community, mark the end of fasting for much of the Islamic community and enjoy great food, the event welcomes everyone to experience Middle Eastern culture for one night only. There will be live music, fashion, crafts, and performances as well as artworks and a photography exhibition from Act For Peace revealing their trips to Syria and Jordan.
Koshari Middle Eastern Night Markets
Alot of traditional Middle Eastern food and flavours will be available including Middle Eastern icecream Booza, Eygptian street food Koshari, and Palestinian cheese pastry Knafeh. There will also be henna tattoo’s available and different arts and crafts for purchase.
COMMUNE, a co-working space and event venue, who have been in Waterloo for the past 4 years, cater for events and work such as yoga events and parties. Creator Sam Ali says of COMMUNE, “We encourage socially aware initiatives that believe in doing good for our hood by partnering with community organisations and supporting local business”.
So grab your friends and family and head on down to this exciting event. Entry for adults is $10 but children are free! All proceeds will be going to Act For Peace who help refugees and asylum seekers all over the world.
