Merivale hosts a series of free live music sessions this winter

Who doesn’t love a dose of free live music? Merivale’s See Sound returns with a wicked gig line up this winter.

Sydney is getting damn chilly, but Merivale’s See Sound is here to warm you up. This exciting live music series saw a highly successful season in the summer months, and now it’s back to aid the winter blues. A collaborative venture between the beer legends from Furphy and Merivale, they have now reveal a (FREE) boogie worthy schedule for winter.

Hosted at Coogee Pavilion, Marrickville’s Vic on the Park and Bondi’s The Royal, these live music sessions are giving music lovers a chance to catch some of Sydney’s top local bands and DJs.

With the waves crashing in the background, head to the Coogee Pavilion Rooftop on Sundays from 12pm to find DJs spinning house, funk and disco. This exciting line up sees has some big names hitting the decks. Yolanda Be Cool will play Sunday 23rd June, Total Giovanni (DJ Set) on the 21st July and Reptile Dysfunction x Hot Sunday Records are taking over on 18th August.

Inner West favourite Vic on the Park is also getting amongst the action with a mix of rock and roll, hip hop, psychedelic and more.  Australian-based music company I OH YOU, are getting the party going on Saturday 8th June with a tonne of exciting new musicians, playing from 2pm. Rapper, singer, guitarist, producer and mix and mastering engineer Milan Ring will steal the show. You can hang out in the back lot and be serenaded by this multitalented artist on Saturday July 6th from 12pm.

Back over east side Bondi’s The Royal and See Sound will be bringing the breezy vibes every Saturday, serving up a range of local DJs each week in the front room, with two live gigs scheduled over winter. On Saturdays 8th June, 13th July and 17th August The Royal has a heap of great musicians to amp up the party, including a DJ set from the Preatures and Triple J legend Tom Tilly.
