Swing by the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Friday night program for cocktails by Maybe Sammy.
For art lovers, the MCA is a must-see destination. This inspiring contemporary art gallery regularly plays host to interesting events, exhibitions, and performances. And this month, the crew from the MCA are putting on a new Friday night program to inspire Sydneysiders to stay and play in the city after dark.
Get ready for MCA Late, an after-hours program of events and performances running until March 26th, 2021. Every Friday night, the gallery will be keeping its doors open later than usual, offering free access to its exhibitions as well as hosting a range of performances. The MCA rooftop terrace will also be playing host to some of Sydney’s best bartenders, which is where Maybe Sammy comes in.
Throughout February, the bartenders from Sydney’s most awarded bar Maybe Sammy will be crafting a trio of delicious cocktails. Taking inspiration from the glitz and glamour of the 1950s, the team will be using local ingredients to create three top-notch drinks, perfect for sipping while soaking in views of Sydney Harbour.
Every Friday from February 12th, find the Maybe Sammy crafting cocktails at the MCA Cafe (serving from 5-9 pm). The trio of delicious cocktails on offer include:
- Chamomile Martini: Gin, vermouth, chamomile, pepper and cedarwood
- Jasmine Negroni: Gin, Campari and vermouth
- Eucalyptus Gimlet: Tequila, mango, eucalyptus and grapefruit bitters
The best bit? Entry is free to this pop-up bar. And if you want to expand your cocktail knowledge, the Maybe Sammy team are running a cocktail masterclass on Friday, February 19th from 6:30 to 7 pm ($20, or $18 pp if you’re an MCA member), with a complimentary cocktail included.
