Today (March 26th) marks the opening of an exciting new restaurant inside the Art Gallery of NSW. Crafted By Matt Moran is an exciting new partnership that brings an incredible all-day dining experience to the former site of Chiswick at the Gallery.
Whether you’re looking for a delicious spot for breakfast or lunch, Crafted by Matt Moran is the perfect spot to visit. Located in one of Sydney’s most stunning dining rooms, expect a menu that reflects Moran’s signature style, featuring locally sourced produce, premium Australian meat, and seafood through to a light, Mediterranean-inspired seasonal menu.
For those that swing by for a mid-week brunch, expect to enjoy a selection of light dishes. Crafted by Matt Moran will be serving buttermilk lemon scones; blueberry and almond crostata; crab sliders or an autumn fruit bowl alongside a selection of Single O coffee, tea, fresh juices and Australian sparkling.
On the weekends, their brunch menu expands to include Sydney rock oysters; corn fritters and brunch classic – a Croque monsieur with Heidi Farm’s gruyere.
Plus, Crafted by Matt Moran is the ultimate long lunch spot, perfect for every occasion with delicious antipasti to kick off your dining experience. For a longer lunch menu highlights include; beef carpaccio with rocket, fennel, radicchio, and parmesan; southern calamari fritti, grilled swordfish with sauteed Italian greens and olive dressing; and blueberry and almond crostata with lemon mascarpone to finish.
As for drinks, the menu has been curated by Samantha Payne and features an all-Australian wine list, as well as Champagne, cocktails, beers, ciders, and a substantial non-alcoholic offering.
To bring this new venue to life, Matt has worked alongside The Fresh Collective Group executive chef Keith Higginson, who brings with him a wealth of experience from Bills, Bathers Pavilion, Satoria in London and Bali’s La Lucciola.
