Experience Asian cuisine and entertainment at this year’s Lunar Markets.
On the 27th of January, The Sydney Morning Herald Lunar Markets will open their gates for 11 nights in celebration of the Year of the Rooster. We invite you to soak up the vibrant ambiance under the moonlit sky as the Pyrmont Bay Park transforms into an Asian cuisine foodie pop-up festival.
With heartfelt cooking and authentic creations, the sound of live music will set the mood for a perfect warm Sydney night at the Lunar Markets. Offering the best there is, this foodie market is neatly located between the City life and the green side, making it a timeless spot for a friendly and intimate atmosphere.
Now rolling onto its third year, the Lunar Markets is well known to bring the goods to the table with this Asian hawker-style event. Featuring live entertainment, outdoor bars, lantern installations and exciting food offerings, the Lunar Market has what it takes to lure us away from online shopping at home.
This free pop-up foodie festival runs until February 5th, just missing the cut for a cheap Valentine’s Day dinner. It is, however, a beautiful setting for a romantic Instagram backdrop, especially if you share the love of some of these key stallholders:
Chur Burger, also known as one of the many slices of heaven on earth, will be attending. Known as one of the cool kids, Chur Burger makes creations that make you forget why you ever tried to cook at home.
Local heroes Black Star Pastry and N2 Extreme Gelato will also grace foodies with their baked delights and whacky ice cream creations.
Another favourite from the street is POKLOL. Other than having a laugh out loud name to brand their juicy mouth-fillers, POKLOL has cracked the code on how to cook delicious Vietnamese, Mexican and Korean street food.
These Casanova’s, along with numerous of other stalls, will serve you the very best that Sydney has to offer. If you’re curious about the other boys in the yard, click on this link.
