It’s Back: LP’s Quality Meats Returns To Chippendale

Meat sweats and no regrets at LP’s Quality Meats is back, and better than ever.

Back in February 2020, we received some bittersweet news about one of our favourite Chippendale venues, LP’s Quality Meats. Off the back of the booming success of their wholesale meats, the team were keen to throw themselves into selling direct to restaurants and customers. And sadly, that saw the team close the doors to their beloved Chippendale diner.

But no one could have expected the impact COVID-19 would have on the hospitality industry. With their dining room left unused and wholesale clients canceling orders, the LP’s team realised it was time to go back to what they do best: dine in.

But don’t expect the same offering from the LP’s Meats dining room. The Chippendale dining room has been transformed, operating as a cosy weekend lunch spot and deli open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays only. The restaurant’s capacity has been reduced, with an expanded meat-production facility and kitchen taking up half of the previous floor space.

So, what can you expect from LP’s Quality Meats 2.0? Open for dine-in every weekend from 11:30, the venue will be serving an ever-changing menu showcasing the best, freshest cuts and ingredients in the kitchen. The best bit? The reduced trading hours have given the chefs even more culinary freedom with a full 5 days to curated each weekend menu.

And expect a broader offering on the menu that extends beyond just smokehouse classics. The team will be serving the likes of oysters with ginger vinaigrette ($25 for a half dozen), grilled beef tongue  ($20), marinated octopus ($18), and so much more. Plus for groups of 4 or more, you’ll enjoy a chefs menu ($65 or $90 per person).

Want to stock up your pantry? Head to LP’s Deli on weekends (open from 10am to 6pm), serving a range of classic LP’s charcuterie, smallgoods and a selection of gourmet deli goods.

LP’s Quality Meats Restaurant and Deli are located at 16/12 Chippen Street, Chippendale. The restaurant is open weekends from 11:30am to 4pm while the deli is trading weekends from 10am to 6pm. To find out more and book your spot, click here.
