Explore Japanese culture and flavours through an all-new virtual experience!
What’s not to love about Japan? It’s home to the picturesque Mount Fuji, the humble bowl of ramen and the beautiful Cherry Blossom. If you can’t wait for your next visit to this incredible country or you are dying to tick it off your bucket list, we suggest getting tickets to Japanaroo. You’ll be able to keep your travel dreams alive with over 50 Japanese travel, food and art experiences, delivered to you from the comforts of home. The festival is online now and will run until the 2nd of October 2021 to help entertain you in lockdown and inspire your travel plans for when restrictions ease.
There are interactive online events including live walking tours of Tokyo, Osaka and Nikko, as well as cooking classes live-streamed from Tokyo. You can learn how to be a samurai as well as the secrets of Japanese culinary kings. There are origami workshops and lessons on kintsugi. There will also be a festive concert held at Sydney Town Hall in December pending the pandemic restrictions. The lineup will feature Aussie and Japanese talent including Kamahl, leading didgeridoo performer William Barton, the Sydney Sakura Choir and taiko drummers YuNiOn.
The best part? All attendees go into the running to win a return flight to Japan with ANA and Japan Airlines.
