After a successful inaugural year, Icebergs x Ketel One Botanical Terrace is back for 2020.
Bondi is synonymous with summer in Sydney. From taking a dip at Bondi Beach to exploring the iconic Bondi to Bronte coastal walk, this suburb is a seaside playground best enjoyed during the warmer months. And for foodies looking for a post-swim tipple, locals can’t look past stopping by the picturesque Bondi Icebergs.
With the weather heating up, Sydneysiders will be flocking to Bondi’s shores in droves this season. And now, punters have a new watering hole to add to their list. The Icebergs Terrace has once again been transformed into the Icebergs x Ketel One Botanical Terrace, an idyllic oasis with botanical-infused drinks flowing.
This lush, oceanside oasis brings to life Ketel One Botanical, a spirit-based drink, made with vodka distilled with botanicals and infused with natural fruit essences.
This delicious summer beverage delivers a lower ABV vodka-based drink made for sipping on long hot summer afternoons. With just 30% ABV, the drink comes in three varietals (Peach & Orange Blossom, crisp Cucumber & Mint, and the fragrant Grapefruit & Rose), making it the perfect choice for those looking for a lighter way to kick back this summer.
Located at the crest of Sydney’s famed Bondi to Bronte walk, Icebergs Terrace x Ketel One Botanical overlooks Bondi’s spectacular coastline and the endless horizon of the Pacific Ocean, and will be serving each Ketel One Botanical varietal, topped with Santa Vittoria soda, alongside Ketel One mixed drink, like the No. 11 (Ketel One Grapefruit & Rose, Campari, Grapefruit & Orange) and No. 171 (Ketel One Peach & Orange Blossom, Peach & Prosecco).
As for the menu of eats, the team from Icebergs Dining Room and Bar have you covered. The kitchen will be slinging South Australian razorfish Crudo, blackcurrant, saltbush, and lovage pane fritti; gamberetti, lightly dusted local shrimp, lemon, aioli; Koshihikari risotto, scarlet prawn and XO; and The Iceburger, grilled beef, sauce, lettuce, onion, tomato & cheese and many more.
As for the design, the Terrace has been created in collaboration with Sydney’s leading landscape architects and horticulturalists, Secret Gardens. Expect the terrace to be framed by native Australian flora that has flourished since the bar launched in summer last year, creating a cool, coastal sanctuary.
