Huxtaburger travels north with plans to open a new delicious burger joint in Redfern.

Burger lovers, rejoice! Melbournian burger lords Huxtaburger are bringing their cult classics north, with the opening of a new eatery in Redfern in early July 2018. Since first opening their doors 6 years ago in Melbourne, Huxtaburger have created a plethora of Huxta fanatics.

As to what you can expect, think grass-fed beef patties teamed with the usual delicious burger companions. At Huxtaburger, they like to keep their creations fairly simple. Beef patties come with tomato, cheese, pickles, lettuce and mayo. Fried chicken burgers are accompanied with slaw and aioli. You can also pimp out your creation with the addition of a fried egg, jalapeños, bacon and more.

As for the snacks, punters can feast on everything from chicken tenders to onion rings, hash bites and hash browns. What goes well with a good burger, you ask? Cold beer, of course. The Redfern eatery is predicted to offer a range of cold brews, alongside wines, cider and premixed concoctions.

This plan to expand to Sydney reflects bigger franchise efforts, with CEO of Huxtaburger Matt Fickling now giving passionate foodie entrepreneurs the chance to be part of the iconic brand. Huxtaburger is excited to announce two new franchisees at the Melbourne CBD, and the brand new Footscray, restaurant.

Fickling has gone on to say “we’re excited to now have two franchisees on-board and part of the Huxta-fam. The introduction of franchisees marks just the beginning of our expansion plans as we look to grow our national footprint in Australia, and grow our business.”

Details at this point are still scant, however we’re told Huxtaburger will open in early July 2018 at 66 Regent Street, Redfern. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more information!
