Christmas has come early with the GPO Dessert Bar Pop-up.
We agree with singer Andy Williams, Christmas really is ‘the most wonderful time of the year’. Making things that little bit sweeter this festive season is the GPO Dessert Bar. Returning for its third consecutive year, this pop-up is situated in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, next to the glistening Christmas tree in Martin Place.
Open seven days a week, patrons will have exclusive access to an array of outdoor seating in Martin Place, making for the perfect vantage point to soak up the all encompassing festivities. Feast on an array of delicious treats, including Nutella donuts, Loacker Gelato, chocolate ricotta cannoli, salted caramel popcorn, chocolate truffle baby cakes and more!
Along with desserts, expect a string of exciting Christmas inspired sights. Practice your best ‘fa la la la la’s‘ with the evening street choir before getting involved with the interactive Christmas tree. Keep a look out for the nightly sound and light show and Bulgari Christmas LED lights display with Serpenti centrepieces, lighting up the skies. Let those young and young at heart marvel at the LEGO Christmas sleigh. Oh and did we mention you can cuddle puppies curtesy of charity partner Guide Dogs Australia? Ah yep!
GPO is also offering it’s guests 14 award winning restaurants and casual dining venues on the lower ground floor of the GPO building. Feast pizza, pasta, sushi, seafood, burgers, cheese and wine, Mediterranean grill and Spanish tapas.
GPO Dessert Bar will be open 7 days a week from Saturday 26th November to Friday 30th December. Opening hours are Monday to Thursday 8am – 10pm, Friday 8am – 11pm, Saturday 9am – 11pm and Sunday 10am – 10pm.
