Salt On Your Skin, Beer in Hand: Freshie Locale Has Officially Landed in Freshwater
Freshie Locale is a new neighbourhood bar in Freshwater Village, brought to life by the team behind Freshwater Brewing Co (Jonny Bucknall, Andy McMurray, Tom Bruce and Brett Phillips).
The space combines local character with relaxed charm. You’ll find a rotating selection of house beers, natural wines, and classic cocktails. There’s also a small menu designed for sharing and nibbles. It’s a small 25-seater for now, with plans to expand. The venue is designed for casual catch-ups, coastal drinks, and laid-back snacking.
Best of all, it’s a bar by locals, for locals, and for anyone looking to experience something authentically Freshwater.
Inside, it’s all surf prints and sunshine. Sip a pét-nat, a house lager, or a spritz at golden hour. Then snack on buttery focaccia, anchovies, or mortadella with house-pickled onions. Or treat yourself to the Freshie Lobster Roll—a toasted, lemony bun packed with fresh lobster and already a local favourite.
Whether you’re fresh from a swim or easing into a late lunch with friends, Freshie Locale is the kind of spot that makes you want to stay just a little longer.
