Spice Alley Chippendale – Sydney's Sprawling Asian Hawker Playground
Tucked into Kensington Street's laneways, Spice Alley Chippendale has spent the past decade turning a stretch of Chippendale into Sydney's most crowded, most colourful excuse to eat with your hands. There's no single kitchen to commit to here. Instead you wander between a dozen open-fronted stalls, from Alex Lee Kitchen's Singaporean plates to Hong Kong Diner's handmade noodles, building a meal one dish at a time under a canopy of lanterns strung overhead.
