It’s been an exciting year for Sydney gin lovers. We’ve seen a growing number of gin-fuelled distilleries, bars and watering holes opening up across the city (here is a guide to some of our favourite spots to drink gin in Sydney).
Last year, we saw the opening of Four Pillars Gin’s first Sydney outpost, delivering a multi-level gin lab to the heart of Surry Hills. As one of the world’s best gin producers, it’s been a highly anticipated new opening bringing a taste of Four Pillar’s Healesville distillery to the inner city. And now, the Four Pillars team has launched a range of exciting interactive workshops for gin lovers across the city.
Currently, the Four Pillars team are taking bookings for three regular masterclasses: a gin masterclass (featuring a tasting of the lab’s signature gins), a maker session (led by one of the team’s distillers) and a cocktail masterclass (showing punters how to craft delicious drinks using signature Four Pillars spirits).
With regular sessions running on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the Four Pillars’ Gin Masterclass is perfect for those wanting to sharpen their gin palette. This intimate 60-minute session gives you a glimpse into the Four Pillars’ story, a brief gin history lesson and an epic tasting of the distilleries’ signature gins. Want to enjoy an epic gin-fuelled experience? The maker session is for you. This unique 2 and a half hour experience takes you on an extensive tour of the gin lab and Eileen’s Bar, with a G&T on arrival, hands-on gin-making session, tasting of 4+ gins (including the lab’s limited-edition releases), delicious share plates plus all attendees walk away with a 700mL hand-labeled bottle of Sydney Seasonal Gin.
