If there is one Christmas present that I purchase every year for myself it would be the limited edition Four Pillars Christmas Gin.
This yearly tradition ties in nicely with the fact that the distillery has one of its own. Each year this limited edition bottle is the result of a bunch of handmade Christmas puddings distilled with festive botanicals such as juniper, cassia and star anise to create a sip that embodies Mariah Carey’s holiday spirit. The gin is then blended with an aged variety that’s carefully matured in 80-year-old muscat barrels. To complete the process a hit of Rutherglen Muscat is added, closing off the palate with the right amount of sweetness.
And for those who collect this special treat, this year’s unique packaging sets to invoke the spirit and nostalgia of past Christmases, with nine distinct artworks by Jo White on the label.
But if the gin is simply not enough, Four Pillars is bringing company to your table. This year the Christmas Gin Pudding is made with gin-steamed oranges, and bursting with all things spice, perfect to pair with your favourite custard. And naturally, you can’t have a Christmas without ham, and what’s a ham without a glaze? The Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin Ham Glaze uses the same oranges alongside Dijon mustard.
