Eastside Grill Hosts Monthly Chef's Table

Eat, Events, Sydney / 21 June 2017

Take a seat at the Chef’s Table and be a part of this new monthly dinner series.

Tucked into one of the many folds of Kensington street’s vibrant food precinct is Eastside Grill. Opening its doors at the beginning of 2017, this New York-style steak house draws its inspiration from several culinary avenues, including New York’s Meat Packing District and Japan’s Binchotan charcoal grill. A smoky meat-centric menu teamed with carefully curated wine list has been drawing in a hungry crowd since the time of its inception. Adding to this dynamic restaurant’s appeal however is a new culinary event, Chef’s Table.
Chef’s Table marks a special dinner series hosted at the start of every month.
It comes as an exciting opportunity for Executive Chef Stanley Wong and Head Chef Angie Ford to curate a one-off menu of innovative dishes championing a different theme each sitting. Last month’s speciality menu championed wagyu beef.
It featured a string of delectable items including a wagyu beef striploin paired with a glass of fragrant Poggiotondo Sangiovese Rosato, 2015. The star of this five course feast? The braised Schottlander wagyu beef short rib teamed with black garlic soubise, red cabbage. This succulent, melt-in-the-mouth cut of meat was perfectly matched to a glass of bold MCW Canberra Syrahm 2014.

The next Chef’s Table event is set for Wednesday 5th July, which will shine the light on truffle. This aromatic and distinctive flavour will weave its way into five mouth-watering courses at a cost of $148pp. If you’re looking to take things up a notch, you can also opt for matching wines at $198pp.
Guests will be seated around a large wooden table in a shared-dining arrangement. Wax candles and seasonal florals will add a cosy softness to the space. A mere 16 tickets sold per session will offer a sense of exclusivity. With spaces strictly limited, bookings are essential. Be sure to get in quick to avoid disappointment.
Eat Drink Play foodies, be sure to take note. There is a special offer for those who book early. You’ll receive $10 off food only and $20 off the matched wine pricing.
If truffle doesn’t take your fancy, the following Chef’s Table event will feature Duck and Pinot on Wednesday 2nd August- it’s guaranteed to be a quacking good time!
