A foodies wellness festival comes to Bondi Pavilion this October

Festivals, Play, Sydney / 27 September 2019

Expect Pilates, fresh produce and cooking workshops at Donna Hay’s first-ever food and wellness festival.

We start our week with the best of intentions. We stock up on veggies. Claim we’re going to meal prep our lunches. Swear we’ll stay away from the booze until next weekend. Suddenly, it’s Wednesday at 8 pm and we’re rushing home from the office with UberEats on the way and a bottle of vino in hand.

If you’re looking to hit refresh this spring, this next event will be right up your alley. Hosted by Australia’s leading cookbook queen Donna Hay, a food and wellness festival is coming to Bondi Pavilion from October 11th to 13th. Across 3 days, the event is the perfect chance to find your inner zen and learn how to bring Donna’s favourite healthy recipes to life.

The program kicks off with a morning Pilates class led by FluidForm founder, Kirsten King. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, enjoy ready-to-eat fresh food in the sun and grab a Vittoria organic blend coffee in exchange for a gold coin donation to the social enterprise, Two Good (with all proceeds going to support domestic violence survivors and women’s refuges). Looking to learn a new skill? Join Donna for an intimate cook-a-long bliss ball workshop to discover how to make healthy snacks at home.

They’ll also be a SMEG smoothie bar station ready to whip up your favourite drink, the Kurrawong Organics produce and ready-to-plant organic seedlings market plus a pop up store brimming with Donna’s favourite cookbooks and merch. And to top it all off, each day will end with Well Chilled, a sunset drinks session featuring substantial, healthy eats paired with the latest drops from Cloudy Bay wines.

The Donna Hay Food and Wellness Festival at Bondi Pavilion is free to attend, but tickets are limited. Doors open from 9:00 am on Friday and 8:00 am on Saturday and Sunday. Book your spot here.
