And with international travel off the cards for the foreseeable future, this new tourism campaign is inspiring Sydneysiders to turn their attention closer to home.
Launched by the crew at Destination NSW, ‘Love NSW from Home’ is the brand new tourism initiative helping to remind residents across the state about the beauty that’s hidden in plain sight. This latest initiative has been launched following the recent recovery campaign announced in February 2020, off the back of this year’s devastating bushfire season. Now the focus has shifted to inspiring us to travel post-COVID-19 (once it’s safe to do so) and motivating us to explore the stunning sites, cities and towns around NSW.
The Love NSW from Home campaign has launched a digital hub of resources to help inspire your next holiday. Get exploring from the comfort of your couch with their interactive map of NSW, taking you on a tour of some of the state’s most beautiful sites. Plus you can bookmark and save any experiences or places you want to visit in the future to your custom ‘travel scrapbook’. From snowboarding at Blue Cow ski report in Perisher to hot air ballooning over the Clarence Valley and even wine tasting in the Hunter Valley, experience it all and bookmark it to inspire your future adventures.
Plus, you don’t have to wait until travel restrictions ease to start doing what you love (all while supporting local businesses across NSW). Destination NSW’s virtual activities give you access to the best of NSW from home with a range of virtual classes and activities all available online. Take a virtual walkthrough NSW, take a boozy art class, brush up on your culinary skills with top chefs or tackle a virtual fitness class. The options are endless!
