Bars, Drink, Sydney / 3 December 2014

A new 40-seat restaurant has re-opened in Surry Hills and comes complete with a cosy bar downstairs. The venue is a relaunch of Darrell Felstead’s restaurant and bar, Foveaux St Dining. With two entry points customers can access Deli Wine Bar downstairs via Sophia Street and the restaurant, Foveaux St Dining from Foveux Street.

The menu  upstairs in the dining room was created by Felstead alongside head chef Paul Gordon. It will include a six-course banquet menu or a la carte menu giving diners the opportunity to mix and match in a share-style experience.

Downstairs, the wine bar will offer small meals and appetisers that match the wine list including 50g servings of cheese, charcuterie, pickles and freshly shucked oysters. You have the option of ordering wine by the glass or the bottle, cocktails, beer, cider and spirits. The venue has transformed itself to a more grown-up setting with an intimate feeling of sandstone walls, wooden tables and chairs, dining booths, lighting and music.
