Maurice Terzini brings a slice of his successful Bondi trattoria to Sydney’s western suburbs.

Whether you’ve been to the Bondi outpost or have been meaning to make a trip, this is exciting news for foodies all across Sydney. Located on Hall Street, CicciaBella was a bold new venture for restauranteur and entrepreneur Maurice Terzini, launched in late 2019 in collaboration with ACME’s Mitch Orr. And now, Maurice has turned his attention to a new site in a new part of the city.

Say hello to CicciaBella Parramatta, the new trattoria and bar set to open in Parramatta Square in September 2020. This latest venue takes inspiration from classic Italian food (a.k.a. cucina classica), the kind of eats you’d find on the menus of great trattoria’s dotted across Italian cities. Think the kind of food that’s reliable, satisfying and comforting, perfect for the winter months.

Not only will the destination be taking inspiration from these Italian classics, but it’ll be reinterpreting them and adding a signature twist. Expect a menu of inventive eats, recreated Italian classic drinks as well as a unique style of service that blends Italian hospitality with modern Australian dining experiences.

CicciaBella Parramatta is set to be launched by Maurice in collaboration with Walker Corporation. It’s not the first time Maurice and Lang Walker have partnered together, with the duo responsible for his first Sydney restaurant OTTO in Woolloomooloo Wharf back in 2000. This latest project seeing the Walker Corporation’s Parramatta Square offer a daring new cultural and commerce precinct in the heart of Parramatta.

For Maurice, this new venture is a big step in his portfolio as he explains, “over the last three months I’ve worked really hard to maintain CicciaBella, a brand that is dear to my heart. It’s a true reflection of my childhood in Italy, bringing together an accumulation of all the Italian concepts I love. It gives me great pleasure to introduce CicciaBella as 100% Famiglia Terzini owned and operated and I look forward to serving you all.”
