Christmas movies, free beer and nibbles – it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas at Central Park.
Nothing says Christmas like a night of Christmas movies, festive snacks and drinks with your loved ones. Now Central Park is bringing this beloved night in to its leafy outdoor setting, with the ultimate outdoor Christmas cinema pop-up. Running from Wednesday 5th – 25th December, Chippendale’s Central Park Mall will transform into a magical holiday hangout just in time for the silly season.
Running across three Wednesdays in December, head along with the whole family for a line up of Christmas classics. In collaboration with Palace Cinemas, Central Park’s Beer Hall on Level 3 will transform into a festive wonderland. The space will come adorned with decorations, life-size props, music, refreshments and plenty of Christmas spirit.
As for the all important movie line-up, on Wednesday 5th December head in for the nineties classic Home Alone. Re-live Kevin McCallister’s troublesome adventures when he finds himself alone on Christmas Eve with rogue burglars invading his house.
Come Wednesday 12th December, it’s time for everyone’s favourite Love Actually. With an all-star cast including Hugh Grant, Colin Firth and Keira Knightley, your heart strings will be sufficiently pulled for all the right reasons.
The last screening on Wednesday 19th December honours Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, a stop-motion animated musical dark fantasy reprising the story of how Halloween tried to annex Christmas.
From 6:30pm-7:15pm, Central Park Mall will also host a short pre-screening event before each movie. Your ticket includes a free welcome drink from Young Henry’s, plus nibbles to graze on. Adding the last decorative touch to the evening is also a Christmas themed Instagram booth, encouraging one and all to get social!
