Carriageworks NIGHT MARKET invite you to cook with fire!
Vivid Sydney and Carriageworks are excited to present the second instalment of the NIGHT MARKET this Saturday 18th June, from 5pm.
This immersive contemporary food and wine event will showcase some of Sydney’s most respected chefs and regional providores. The lineup features over 50 stallholders as well as wine makers from the 14 regions of New South Wales. Beer and spirit makers will also be added to the mix. Expect to see illustrious names such as Billy Kwong, Cake Wines, Icebergs, Porteno, Single Origin Roasters, Thievery and more.
Offering an educational experience, each stallholder will also profile the regional source of the produce they are using.
Curated by renowned Sydney chef and Creative Director of the Carriageworks Farmers Market, Mike McEnearney, the NIGHT MARKET is inspired by a seductive ‘cooking with fire’ theme. Guests are invited to actively engage with chefs in a pyrotechnic show. Food will be prepared over live flames as local produce is transformed into bespoke food offerings.
Carriageworks is the largest and most significant contemporary multi-arts centre of its kind in Australia. Housed in the old Eveleigh Rail Yards on Wilson Street, Carriageworks NIGHT MARKET reflects one of the many artist led programs the space itself hosts.
The launch of the NIGHT MARKET follows the recent success of the Carriageworks Christmas Twilight Market. Carriageworks also presents the weekly Carriageworks Farmers Market. Recognised as one of Australia’s leading Artisan farmers markets, it attracts over 5,000 people every Saturday and supports over 120 NSW producers. These markets will continue to run each Saturday as a part of Vivid Sydney.
With a distinctive nineteenth century industrial atmosphere of the former railway carriage, it is certainly worth checking out this incredible space.
Carriageworks NIGHT MARKET represents every food lovers dream, so warm yourself this winter and taste what’s on offer.
