The team from Sydney Restaurant Group has opened its first-ever Bondi establishment, Cafe Bondi.
It might be one of Sydney’s most iconic beaches, but it’s new terrain for the team from Sydney Restaurant Group. These hospitality heavyweights are responsible for top-notch Sydney venues, including Aqua Dining, Ormeggio at The Spit, LuMi Bar & Dining, and The Nielsen, just to name a few. And now, the group is branching out to the shores of North Bondi with an unmissable new coastal cafe.
Meet Cafe Bondi, the latest (and largest) venture from the team at Sydney Restaurant Group. Finding its home in the heart of North Bondi, this relaxed eatery has a simple motto of ‘coffee, sunshine and good times’, making it a perfect summer destination.
You’ll find Cafe Bondi on the buzzing Campbell Parade, with sparkling views of Bondi Beach. The venue is run by Director Daniel Drakopoulos (responsible for the CBD’s Caffeine Cartel), bringing a strong and diverse team to what’s set to be a Bondi hot-spot.
“Our goal is to bring welcoming service, great food, and good vibes to the neighbourhood. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of North Bondi and the overall design reflects the urban beachside setting,” explains Daniel.
Following a complete refurbishment, Cafe Bondi swung open its doors in late December 2020. The cool, pastel eatery feels like a sleek coastal eatery, with a commanding bar, timber accents, and plenty of alfresco seating.
Open daily, Cafe Bondi will be slinging modern Australian fare (crafted by chef Lorenzo Pintor of the group’s Ripples at the helm of the kitchen). On the menu, you’ll find seasonal classics and fresh, local ingredients showcased across dishes such as turmeric tofu scrambled eggs, fried soft-shell crab burgers, and salmon poke bowls. Plus, there are plenty of freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, and even breakfast cocktails to sip your way through, too.
Find Cafe Bondi at Shop 1 & 2, 286 Campbell Parade, North Bondi. Open 7 days from 6:30 am to 4 pm. Find out more here.
