Opera Bar Sydney — Harbour Views, Live Music and a New Era Under Way
Sydney’s most iconic venue needs no introduction, but Opera Bar is getting a fresh facelift.
Thankfully, the unrivalled views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House aren’t going anywhere.
Applejack venues, the same group that brings you The Botanist in Kirribilli, The Butler in Potts Point and RAFI in North Sydney, recently took over the space. Director of Culinary Patrick Friessen is crafting a new menu to better feature seasonal ingredients and locally grown produce.
But don’t fret, while the changes are happening the bar is still flowing and limited food options are still available. A popup pizza stall is baking fresh pies while next door Winnie’s is serving fresh bites.

EAT: The sashimi platter. A fresh selection of yellowfin tuna, king salmon, wild caught snapper and WA scallops that's made for sharing.
DRINK: A refreshing spritz to match the waterfront setting.
