25 Martin Place, the new inner-city precinct has scored an alfresco drinking and dining space in the theme of South-America.
When spring turns into summer, Sydneysiders crave a new alfresco dining space to perch up on hot days (preferably with a margarita in hand). Cabana Bar has answered our prayers with their resort-style playground which has just opened in the new CBD precinct, 25 Martin Place. Tilley & Wills is behind the operation and they bring their award-winning hospitality expertise from Verandah to the table.
The new space boasts two bar areas, semi-private dining spaces and (drum roll), the city’s largest outdoor terrace spanning over 100m. Cabana Bar is open Monday to Saturday, all day long allowing Sydneysiders to escape the bustle of the city and operate on “Cabana Time“. From a quick lunch, boozy long lunches, wining and dining a special one and late-night cocktails, it’s a venue to suit all occasions.
Executive Chef Brad Sloane is at the helm of the kitchen bringing the best of Australian seasonal ingredients to the table. He creates dishes that are simple, however refined with main inspiration coming from Australian pub, restaurant and bar classics. The menu highlights include the Classic Cheeseburger, Herb-Crumbed Chicken Schnitzel, Southern Prime Sirloin, Tequila Cured Salmon and Cabana’s Feisty Tacos. You can also get your hands on freshly shucked oysters and charcuterie boards for your afternoon tipple pairing.
Cavana Bar has an exotic cocktail collection that will excite your tastebuds. There’s the Coconut Cabana-Rita which features a mix of 1800 Coconut Tequila, Joseph Catron Coconut and coconut syrup. Another highlight is the Cabana Tai’m, a house mai tai of Pampero Blanco rum, cointreau, orgeat, lime, pineapple and orange bitters. You can of course get all the tropical vibes from a classic Piña Colada or Margarita.
The vino list has been carefully curated by Tilley & Wills’ team of winos. Since they have over 12 years of experience, it seems they were perfect for the job. These are a selection of premium reds, whites and champagnes all available by the glass, which means there’s no need to break the bank for a bottle!
