Chin Chin Manly is the fourth outpost of Chris Lucas's high-energy South East Asian restaurant and is set to land in mid-2027 on Raglan Street in the heart of Manly village. It joins the original Melbourne room, the long running Surry Hills favourite that opened in 2017 and the Geelong stadium outpost, bringing that same buzzy, neon lit energy to the beach.
The venue is set to be built around an open kitchen and bar, the kind of set up that puts the wok work on full display rather than tucking it away. Founding chef Benjamin Cooper, who trained under David Thompson, is leading the kitchen alongside Matthew MacLeod, who has run the Surry Hills location since day one. Expect the same loud, generous, South East Asian leaning menu that made Chin Chin a fixture of the Sydney dining scene, now with sea air and a Northern Beaches crowd who have apparently been asking for this for years.
