Served with a side of an ocean breeze.

Picture this: the rhythmic waves of the ocean, the warm sand beneath your feet, and the tantalising aroma of Mediterranean-inspired seafood wafting through the air. Welcome to Bobby’s, the newest culinary gem nestled steps away from the pristine white sands of Cronulla Beach.

Owned by Cronulla locals Adam and Kylie Micola, the masterminds behind the beloved Bangor Tavern, Bobby’s is not just a restaurant; it’s a multi-faceted experience. With a vision inspired by their dream of a seafood haven on the beach, the Micola’s have brought this dream to life in the form of Bobby’s, a place that seamlessly blends into the laid-back atmosphere of Cronulla.

The venue itself is a duality of charm, featuring a restaurant and bar on one side and a beach club on the other. The restaurant, with its warm and inviting ambience, is perfect for leisurely lunches with a panoramic view of the rolling waves. On the flip side, the beach club embodies fun and relaxation, offering a curated cocktail and snack menu, complemented by an all-day coffee cart – the ideal spot for a morning coffee or a post-swim spritz in the sun.

At the culinary helm of Bobby’s are Executive Chef Pablo Tordesillas, renowned for his expertise at Otto & Totti’s, and Head Chef Shaun Baker, whose culinary journey includes Pier, Yan Restaurant, and Bills Restaurants. Together, they’ve crafted a menu that epitomises a modern ocean-to-plate ethos.

Selection of share plate menu items at Bobby's Cronulla including ox heart tomato and pasta.

From Bobby’s brioche prawn roll to king ocean prawns ‘a la sal’ and a delectable linguine featuring prawns, cuttlefish, garlic, and chilli, each dish is a celebration of the sea’s bounty. Not to be outdone, larger offerings include a mouthwatering 1kg rib-eye with green peppercorn sauce and a whole snapper adorned with burnt butter, citrus, and caper berries.

To complement the exquisite fare, the beverage program, curated by Alex Cameron, shines a spotlight on local and Mediterranean wines. The cocktail list is a refreshing journey, featuring concoctions like ‘The Cello,’ a Limoncello-infused spritz, and ‘Seaside Negroni,’ a delightful blend of Pineapple Campari, Coconut Vodka, Kaffir Lime, and Vermouth.

Designed by Tom Mark Henry, the 115-seat venue radiates playfulness and elegance. With banquette seating, natural stone accents, and breathtaking north-facing views, Bobby’s invites you to savour moments of culinary delight against the backdrop of Cronulla Beach.

In a nod to family and community, Bobby’s is named after Adam’s father, emphasising the restaurant’s genuine and heartfelt connection to the local identity. As Adam expresses, “Bobby’s has all times of day and all occasions covered,” making it a versatile space that welcomes everyone – from those in beach attire to those dressed for a special celebration.

Whether you’re a Cronulla local or a visitor seeking a memorable seaside dining experience, Bobby’s awaits, ready to redefine your expectations of beachside culinary indulgence.
