Bonjour Sydney! Get ready to raise a glass and embrace a touch of Parisian flair, because the much-anticipated Bastille Festival is back for its eleventh year.

From Thursday 11th July to Sunday 14th July, Circular Quay and The Rocks will be transformed into a delightful French village, offering a vibrant and free-to-enter celebration of all things Gallic.

Whether you’re a Francophile with a passion for baguettes and brie, or simply looking for a fun-filled day out with friends and family, the Bastille Festival is bringing the Parisian magic to Sydney’s harbour.

Foodies will be in their element, with over 70 pop-up restaurants, stalls, and dining terraces showcasing the best of French cuisine. From the heart of Provence to the alpine regions, indulge in flavours that will transport you straight to France. Expect to find oozing raclette, delicate crepes, and of course, a selection of French cheeses that would make even the most discerning cheese lover weak at the knees.

But the culinary delights don’t stop there. This year, the festival is offering a series of exciting cookery masterclasses led by renowned French chefs. Learn the secrets of the perfect souffle or master the art of French pastry-making – a perfect souvenir to bring back from your festival experience.

For the wine connoisseurs, the Bastille Festival boasts an epic wine program. Embark on a self-guided tour through 1.4 kilometres of French wine regions, sampling exquisite drops from Bordeaux to Provence. Simply grab your festival passport and branded tasting glass, and prepare to discover a world of French vintages.

This year’s festival also coincides with the Paris Olympics, adding a touch of sporting flair to the festivities. A special Bastille Olympic Village will be set up outside Customs House, featuring sculptures of iconic Parisian landmarks like a six-metre Eiffel Tower. Visitors of all ages can participate in fencing, basketball, and archery workshops led by experienced coaches, making it a fun and interactive experience for the whole family.
