But for one emerging craft distillery, pushing the boundaries of gin-making is something worth celebrating.
Since launching in 2014, Archie Rose Distilling Co. has been producing some of Australia’s best whiskies, gins, vodkas and rums. Tucked away in the thriving creative hub of Rosebery, the team is known for putting on a great show with drinkers invited into their distillery to create their own bespoke spirits. Plus, Archie Rose’s extensive range of one-off collaborations, limited releases, and spirit experiences have earned them attention from industry and drinkers across the country and beyond.
And their latest limited edition release gives gin-drinkers plenty to get excited about. In partnership with the Sydney Opera House, Archie Rose’s Outside and Inside Gins deliver two exclusive releases celebrating the beauty, diversity and creativity of Australia’s leading cultural icon. So, what can you expect from this twin release?
The Outside Gin takes inspiration from the Opera House’s coastal location, coming to life as a juniper-forward gin accented with lemon-scented gum, South Australian yuzu, finger limes, white grapefruit, locally foraged seablite and native seaweed. Conversely, the Inside Gin looks to the global cultures and art that takes place within the walls of the Opera House. The result? Expect a fruit-driven gin with a bright summery character, featuring a cast of botanicals including native thyme, Australian apricot, raspberry and strawberry gum.
To celebrate this big release, Archie Rose is throwing a house party this Sunday, October 20th in the Yallamundi Rooms at the Sydney Opera House. Kicking off at 5 pm, the party will feature flowing gin cocktails showcasing the Outside and Inside Gin releases, along with canapés and live music from guest DJ Simon Caldwell. Soak in spectacular water views under the sails with a drink in hand at this house party like no other.
The Archie Rose House Party is happening this Sunday, October 20th from 5 pm in the Yallamundi Rooms at the Sydney Opera House. Tickets start at $85.00.
