Arabian Nights

Bars, Drink, Eat, Events, Sydney / 12 February 2014

Starting this Valentine’s Day and every Friday until 24th March Zeta Bar upstairs at The Hilton Hotel will be transformed into an exotic Arabian Nights themed bar. Last weeks launch party gave those who attended a sneak peak at what we can expect. Two friendly camels named Ginger and Baldy greeted people as they stepped out of the elevator, Princess Jasmine was serving cocktails and scimitar wielding belly dancers floated through the crowd.

Of belly dancing and knives, really large knives.

Flair bartenders quenched our thirst with exotic cocktails including the Sumac Sour and Marakesh Blazer. My favourite drink was the Arabesque, a mint infused Tanqueray gin cocktail with rose tea, passion fruit and pomegranate.

Food-wise there was chicken sish and the lamb cutlets in humus sauce. The dips plate with humus, parsley teretor, labne yoghurt and capsicum salad was a great sharer.
Of course a sheesha chic experience wouldn’t be complete without a hit from a hookah. In Zeta bar’s redecorated balcony, pipes of various forms and colours were  in every corner.

Everyone is welcome to Zeta Bar’s Arabian Night experience. I can’t guarantee that Ginger and Baldy will be there but you’re definitely in for a magic carpet ride of fun.
