A Bottomless Cheese-Making Class For 10 People Is Happening In Sydney This June

Drink, Eat, Play, Sydney / 20 May 2020

Want to show off your iso culinary skills? Book in for an intimate boozy cheese making class with Omnom Cheese.

We’ve all been getting adventurous in the kitchen over the past few weeks. From tackling new baking projects to exploring delicious new recipes, staying home has reignited our love for flexing our culinary muscles. But as we begin to return to some parts of ‘normal life’, there are new ways to show off our newfound skills (or learn some new ones).

For those familiar with Omnom Cheese’s regular cheese-making classes, this will be welcome news. The team have been working hard to bring back their beloved boozy culinary masterclasses in a COVID-free environment to help foodies across the city learn something new. And this June, Omnom Cheese are relaunching their classes with a more intimate focus.

From June 5th 2020, the masterclass ‘Bubbles, Burrata and Bocconcini‘ will be back. This interactive cheese making class will see up to 10 social-distanced attendees learn how to make these delicious cheeses, all while sipping on bottomless bubbles. Each session will be hosted at Omnom’s HQ in the heart of Rosebery, with classes running for 90 minutes.

The team of passionate teachers will guide you through a beginner-friendly class as you learn how to make mouth-watering Fromage creations using common kitchen equipment (most of which you’ll already have at home!). The sessions will cover the basics of milk selection using store-bought milk, acidification, coagulation and finally turning the curds into luscious melty bocconcini and cream, oozy burrata.

The best bit? Every attendee will make their own burrata and bocconcini to take home (with close to 1kg of cheese ready to be consumed). Make sure to bring your own containers and aprons to take part!
