This new Northcote deli, bar, and bistro is bringing the best of European dining to your pantry.
With all of us spending more time at home, finding new dishes to prepare at home is a top foodie priority. Whether you’re in the mood to spice up our mid-week pasta or are craving a lavish cheese and charcuterie board, we’ve found the new all-day European deli and bistro for you.
Meet Zsa’s, the new bar, bistro and deli finding its home in the heart of Northcote. There’s a lot to love about this exciting new spot: from fresh, hand-made pasta (prepared by the venue’s sous-chef daily) to a fridge brimming with charcuterie from local smallgoods suppliers.
Owner Zowie Minchin opened the venue back in July, having worked across Europe as well as closer to home (running events for Laneway Festival and running the bars at Hobart’s annual winter festival, Dark Mofo).
While Zsa’s was originally created to serve as an all-day bar and bistro, their dining room remains closed (for the time being) due to Stage 4 restrictions. In the meantime, Melburnians can enjoy Zsa’s at Home, bringing the best of the bar and bistro to your living room.
Here at Zsa’s expect their deli shelves to be stocked with the best locally sourced ingredients, along with imported goodness direct from Europe.
Head online to order gourmet deli goods such as organic mustard, air-dried Spanish chorizo, local honey, free-range Australian prosciutto, anchovies, and even bottles of Italian wine. Plus, you can even order Zsa’s bistro meals to heat and serve at home, including home-made gnocchi as well as sauces of eggplant ragu and free-range pork neck ragu.
