Shift your movie-watching to the outdoors this summer with Moonlight Cinema.
It’s that time of the year again when we all come out of hibernation to enjoy balmy summer nights. Even if you’re not feeling like a big night out on the town, you can still relish the warm weather at Moonlight Cinema.
Running until 29 March 2020 at Royal Botanic Gardens, Moonlight Cinema is back for another sizzling summer season. With a diverse range of movies including classic favourites like Pulp Fiction or newbies such as Like A Boss, you can settle in for a night of relaxation.
Bring a picnic blanket or reserve a bean bed to get comfortable for the night. For those who want to splurge, opt for Gold Grass ($40 per person) for the best views and reserved bean bags included. Or, try the Connoisseur Lounge ($35 per person) or the Platinum Experience ($195 for two people) for some special extras.
No movie night is complete without a few snacks and tipples. Bring your own food and drinks (including alcohol) to create your own picnic for the night. But don’t fret if you are empty handed, onsite caterers are there to satisfy any rumbling bellies.
Try roasted pumpkin arancini with aioli and parmesan, or the pepperoni pizza. If you feel like grazing, you can even purchase Black Swan dips & peckish crackers, with added don salami share plate. And of course, sweet and savoury snacks are available to munch on during the movie, including scrumptious Parlour Lane classic salted popcorn.
Moonlight Cinema is spoiling us for choice with drink options, which include a Tia Espresso Martini, Tia Iced Popcorn Frappe, or Tia & Tonic. A range of beers, ciders, wines and soft drinks are also available.
The Moonlight Cinema season will be over before you know it. So grab your friends or that special someone and take advantage of the great weather. After all, you can always ‘netflix and chill’ in winter.
