Marameo Combines Pasta and Vintage Cake for Pasta Party

Nestled in Melbourne’s bustling CBD, the renowned pasta hub, Marameo, is reigniting its widely-acclaimed boozy lunch series, Pasta Party: Season 2.

Commencing on Saturday, 17 June, this eagerly-awaited sequel will not only bring back the bottomless wine and a banquet stacked high with pasta that made last year’s series a smash hit, but also a new, sweet addition – the iconic vintage cakes by Pip O’Shea of Good Good Cake.

Co-owner of Marameo, Michael Badr, describes the Pasta Party as resembling a grand birthday celebration. The inclusion of Pip’s vintage cake designs, he says, is the final piece of the puzzle. Equally thrilled to be a part of the Pasta Party, O’Shea believes that combining her cakes with the delicious food, drinks and good times at Marameo, will create unforgettable experiences for the patrons.

Patrons have the option to enrich their Pasta Party experience by pairing their pasta banquet with one of Good Good Cake’s two-toned, cherry-crowned Rococo creations. They can choose between the tangy limoncello or the indulgent hazelnut, chocolate and Marsala-poached pear cake, with just 72 hours’ notice needed for orders.

For a cost of $100pp, patrons can indulge in a two-hour culinary journey which includes unlimited Prosecco, red and white wine, Peroni, as well as an array of pasta dishes. Available for groups of four or more, the offerings range from spaghetti cacio e pepe with black truffle to squid ink linguine with blue swimmer crab.

Complementing the mouth-watering food is a live DJ spinning Italo disco beats and funk rhythms, adding to the festive atmosphere.

In the words of Badr, the return of the Pasta Party is eagerly awaited, and he promises that this year it will be even better than the first. With such a tempting combination of pasta and cake, this is a culinary celebration not to be missed!
