A Toast to Collaboration
Negroni Week is already a calendar highlight for many Melburnians. But this year, it’s getting an international twist. London-based cocktail bar Kwãnt is coming to Melbourne. The team at Society will host a one-night-only event on 24 September. The highlight? Kwãnt’s famed bartender, Giusy Castaldo, will take over the Society bar from 5pm to 8pm.
What Makes Kwãnt Special?
Kwãnt isn’t just any cocktail bar. It’s earned a spot on the World’s 50 Best Bars list for three consecutive years. Known for its five-star tropical vibe, this London hotspot is all about innovation. Now, Melburnians can get a taste—without the pricey flight to the UK.
The Menu: More Than Just Negronis
While Negronis take centre stage during Negroni Week, Castaldo is shaking things up. Expect three unique cocktails with Campari at their core. And yes, there’s a twist on the classic negroni—aptly named the Sunflower Negroni. The menu also features the High Five and Story cocktails, each at $24. Not just cocktails, Society’s kitchen will serve up some curated snacks too.
A Cause for Celebration
Negroni Week isn’t just about great drinks. It’s a global initiative led by Imbibe Magazine and Campari to support charity. For this special event, Society and Kwãnt will donate $1 from every cocktail sold to Slow Food, Negroni Week’s charity partner for 2023.
Campari Academy
That’s not all. Society is also hosting the Campari Academy from 1pm to 3pm on the same day. Open to all bar professionals, Castaldo will share insights into Kwãnt’s unique approach to cocktails.
Let’s Go!
You’ll find all the action at The Lounge at Society, located at 80 Collins Street, Melbourne. The best part? No reservations needed—just walk in.
So mark your calendars. This Negroni Week, Society and Kwãnt are serving up something extraordinary for Melbourne’s cocktail lovers. Cheers
