An enchanting Raclette Igloo Experience is set to arrive in Melbourne, inviting guests to melt into a delightful world of French cheese and culture, from May 18th to June 11th. For three weeks, the Raclette Igloo Experience will transform the iconic Federation Square skyline, treating you to your very own winter wonderland. Imagine luxuriating within your private igloo, savouring mouthfuls of raclette cheese, sipping on mulled wine, and enjoying the warmth of a fire pit as you roast marshmallows with friends and family.
The experience features 14 igloos, each bearing the name of a celebrated French ski resort. Upon arrival, French-speaking staff welcome you, elevating the cultural experience, and your personal “raclette guide” will introduce you to the art of raclette dining. The magical setting is complete with gently falling snow, an abundance of pine trees, and twinkling fairy lights.

With the option to book an igloo for parties of six or eight, guests are encouraged to pre-book their reservations by April 16th. Last year in Canberra, the Raclette Igloo Experience sold out within weeks. In celebration of its Melbourne debut, an exclusive offer allows guests to secure their reservation with a deposit of just $99, guaranteeing priority access to preferred booking times and dates.
For the authentic Raclette experience, two tonnes of cheese will be transported from France to Melbourne, offering you the opportunity to indulge in this deliciously warm, comforting dish. On the table, up to two kilos of raclette cheese will be accompanied by four exquisite, cured meats, boiled potatoes, pickled onions, and cornichons, all served family-style. To enhance your dining pleasure, a glass of mulled wine will be served, while a mini-bar inside each igloo offers a selection of French wines and soft drinks for an additional cost.
The Raclette Igloo Experience concludes with the perfect fireside treat: roasting giant marshmallows to share around your own fire pit.
