Melbourne’s beloved Hotel Esplanade, better known as The Espy, announces two major events. The Espy’s February Events highlight the city’s cultural heartbeat. The annual Pride Party is on Sunday, 4th February. The St Kilda Festival Laneway Party follows on Sunday, 18th February. Both events are set to captivate Melbourne’s music enthusiasts
Pride Party: A Melody of Diversity and Fun
The Pride Party, a free event, kicks off with an impressive lineup. Australian festival star Big Wett headlines at the Main Bar Staircase Stage at 4 pm. Joining them are artists like Deb Walters and Gavin Campbell. Betty Grumble, known for her vibrancy, will host the event.
Inside The Espy, the Gershwin Room hosts the Poof Doof Takeover. It features Alex Morris, Aubrey Haive, and more. Downstairs, The Basement will pulse with beats from Bangerz ‘N’ Mash and others. The Espy will also donate from each rainbow slushie sale to The Victoria Pride Centre.
St Kilda Festival Laneway Party: A Musical Fusion
On 18th February, the St Kilda Festival Laneway Party transforms Pollington Street. This free event merges music, culture, and community. The Murlocs, famous for their garage-punk music, headline the Main Stage at 8 pm. They’re supported by acts like Bones and Jones and Chitra. Inside, the Gershwin Room will feature DJ and producer Tseba.
