The prestigious Hostplus Hospitality Scholarship, celebrating a decade of fostering Australian hospitality talent, is once again offering an exceptional opportunity for young professionals aged 22 to 35 to catapult their careers in the industry. Facilitated by Melbourne Food & Wine Festival through its extensive hospitality networks, the scholarship tailors the winner’s work experience to their career interests, covering diverse aspects of the industry from the kitchen and cellar to the dining room and beyond. The program has historically welcomed participants from various fields, including chefs, waiters, managers, baristas, and professionals from butchery and wine sectors.
This year’s prize package includes:
- 1 x five-day work experience within Australia
- Up to $1,500 towards flights
- Up to $1,750 towards accommodation
- $1,000 cash
- Up to $5,000 to spend on professional development or training at an approved education provider, or on professional tools and equipment
- $500 worth of tickets to attend MFWF events in 2024
- A year-long mentorship with a local industry leader to broaden their experience and connections
