You better brie-lieve it! If you’re a cheese lover, you won’t want to miss the Holey Cheese festival, returning to Queen Victoria’s market for its second year running. Market traders, local and international producers will be on hand at the dairy hall, rolling out their cheese wheels from regions all around the world. Sample the best soft, hard, vintage cheeses and let your taste buds run wild. 

After trying all the cheese you’ve ever dreamed of, enjoy a wander through the festival and visit the pop up stalls selling all kinds of cheesy food. That’s Amore Cheese will be selling their traditional cannolis, perfectly balancing savoury and sweet flavours together. Delighting all festival goers is 400 Gradi, who will be dishing up their award winning margherita pizza. Or perhaps you’d like to try freshly fried halloumi chips, served by The Cypriot Kitchen.

To quench your thirst, Good-a-Bar (a clever pun on Gouda cheese) will be serving cocktails and wine during the festival, with their special cheese-themed cocktail expected to be a crowd pleaser – think an Old Fashioned paired with smoked Gouda. Special guest and Market Bookstore owner, Tim White, will also be in attendance, running a masterclass on how to cook simple yet tasty cheese dishes right in the comfort of your own home.

For a more personalised VIP experience, you can join in on the Holey Cheese Food Tour. Follow through the famous foodie trail and into the market food halls, learning all there is about cheese and it’s history with your own specialist tour guide. The 2 hour tour includes generous tastings of artisan cheese and vegan cheese, all served with fresh bread, dried fruits, wine, and much more. You will also be given an exclusive market shopping bag and a $5 market voucher to bring something back home.
