Melbourne’s Favourite Gnocchi Festival Returns to Delight Carb Lovers

Cool Sh*t, Melbourne / 4 May 2023

Melbourne’s most beloved carb-loaded festival, dedicated to the soft and pillowy potato dumplings everyone adores, is back for 2023! The Gnocchi Festival, a fan favorite since its inception in 2019, has drawn in over 10,000 pasta enthusiasts and is set to return on Sunday, 7th May.

The event, proudly brought to you by the Moonee Ponds Traders Association, will feature Melbourne’s top food trucks to celebrate the delicious potato dumplings. Participating vendors include Cafe Merenda, Pasta Face, Hole in the Wall, and Gnonnas Gnocchi. Vegan and gluten-free options will be available to cater to diverse dietary preferences.

This year’s festival has expanded to a larger space in the car park of sibling venue Holmes Hall, ensuring that the growing popularity of the event is accommodated. The festivities will begin at noon, and visitors can expect live entertainment throughout the day, including performances by resident DJs and acoustic artists.

To complete the Italian-inspired experience, the Outdoor Garden Bar will be serving a range of Italian cocktails, including Spritzes, Peach Bellinis, Negroni’s, and, of course, Sambuca. This Gnoch-Tail bar promises to add a spirited touch to the event as attendees enjoy their gnocchi dishes.

The Gnocchi Festival is not just for humans, though; the organisers at The Ascot Lot warmly welcome furry friends to join in the fun. This free event promises an unforgettable experience for food lovers, music enthusiasts, and pet owners alike. Mark your calendars for Sunday, 7th May, and prepare to indulge in the delightful world of pillowy potato dumplings.
