Get ready for the first Melbourne of El Jannah, the cult-classic Sydney chicken joint.
Melbourne, we’ve got some exciting news to share. For those of you who have ventured to Sydney and had a taste of El Jannah‘s juicy charcoal chicken, you’ll know what we’re talking about. This iconic Lebanese charcoal chook chain has earned a cult-like status among Sydney foodies. And now, Melbourne is getting its first outpost.
The first Melbourne El Jannah store is set to open at 600 High Street, Preston (taking over the old Hungry Jacks digs). While we’re still waiting for an exact opening date to be confirmed, it’s expected to swing open its doors in late 2021.
The team from El Jannah has big plans for 2021 (and beyond), hoping to expand their presence in Melbourne (with a number of sites coming to Victoria) as well as more spots slated to open in Sydney in hte years to come.
Already, the team from El Jannah has nine stores, including an oh-so-popular drive-thru spot in Sydney. And there’s plenty of reason to get excited about this first Melbourne store, which is set to sling the chicken shop’s iconic dishes, including charcoal chicken, rolls, burgers, platters, skewers, salads and so much more.
There are also talks of a second Melbourne El Jannah site coming soon, set to open north of the city. In fact, there’s expected to be at least five stores open in Melbourne over the next five years.
