Limited Edition Cocktail by Renowned Melbourne Bartender for McLaren Formula1

Drink, Melbourne / 30 March 2023

Get ready to rev up your taste buds, Melbourne, because Bomba Bar in Chinatown has just launched the ultimate ode to McLaren Formula 1 Team and local hero Oscar Piastri. The Papaya Pit-Stop is a limited edition cocktail created by Melbourne’s renowned bartender, Cara Devine, and it’s only available for one week!

Crafted using fresh fruits from local producers, this shaken cocktail takes on orange tones from its fruity ingredients, with a black racing stripe made from burnt papaya adding a striking effect to its appearance. Inspired by McLaren Formula 1 team’s iconic colours and in honour of Oscar’s first home race at Albert Park, the Papaya Pit-Stop is a fresh twist on a modern classic that you won’t want to miss.

Cara Devine, the manager of Bomba Bar and the face from Behind the Bar, said, “In flavour, it is fruity, aromatic, fresh and zesty. The orange colour comes from the fusion of papaya, rosé vermouth and classic Jack Daniel’s No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey. To finish off this bold drinking experience, it’s infused with bittersweet and spicy flavours, representing the heat and excitement of the racetrack.”

It’s not just the cocktail that’s racing themed, either. The Papaya Pit-Stop is exclusively created to mark the multi-year partnership between Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and McLaren Racing, and it’s the perfect way to raise a glass to Oscar’s first race this weekend.

Senior Brand Manager at Jack Daniel’s Australia, Ale Alvarez, commented, “We’re thrilled to be working with Cara Devine and Bomba Bar to create this bespoke serve. The Papaya Pit-Stop is a unique way for Melburnians and those visiting the city to join in and toast the McLaren Formula 1 Team ahead of the big weekend!”

So, what are you waiting for? Race to Bomba Bar and try the Papaya Pit-Stop before it’s gone! And if you’re a non-drinker, don’t worry, McLaren Formula 1 Team and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey have also teamed up with Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris to create two unique non-alcoholic cocktails. Cheers to the weekend!
