A Dreamy Day Out at CherryHill Orchards Blossom Festival

Cool Sh*t, Melbourne, Play / 29 August 2023

It’s that time of the year again! CherryHill Orchards in Yarra Valley is rolling out the pink carpet for its annual Blossom Festival.

Think pink cherry blossoms, vibrant live music, and luscious cherry-inspired drinks. Firstly, mark your calendars for 16 September to 1 October. It’s not just about the trees this year; it’s an entire experience. You can drift through the orchard adorned with full-bloom cherry blossoms. Then, sit back and groove to live music.

Feast Among the Blooms

Besides, CherryHill Orchards is teaming up with Melbourne’s high tea experts, Mary Eats Cake. That means you can go beyond casual nibbles. Opt for a picnic and feast on cakes, sandwiches, and cheese as you relax under the cherry canopies.

Get Your Hands Dirty

In the mood for a bit of art? Frida’s Sip n’ Paint offers a workshop where you can unleash your inner artist. Paint, laugh, and create a keepsake of your day. On the flip side, if you’re into photography, there’s a one-hour Smartphone Photography Workshop. Learn the basics of composition and lighting. Then, take your phone for a stroll to capture the orchard’s beauty.

Taste the Orchard

New this year is the Cherry Vodka, made entirely from CherryHill Orchards’ cherries. Not to forget, Cherry Blossom Gin and Cherry Blossom Tea are still on the menu at the on-site café.

More Than Just A Day Trip

Fancy catching the sunrise from a hot air balloon? That’s an option too. In partnership with Global Ballooning, you can start your day with a scenic flight over Yarra Valley, then head back to the orchard.

Likewise, mid-week visitors can enjoy a Wine & Dine lunch at Rochford Wines before or after the festival.

Family and Pet-Friendly Fun

Bring the whole tribe. Schools are out, and there’s a lineup of family workshops like Busy Bees and Candle Making. Moreover, food trucks will be available, ensuring you’re well-fed throughout your visit. Plus, your four-legged friends are welcome.
