Australian Open Finals Festival Unveils Stellar Music and Tennis

Melbourne, Play / 12 December 2023

A Fusion of Music and Tennis

Melbourne’s much-anticipated Australian Open is not just about top-tier tennis; it’s also a celebration of vibrant music. This January, the prestigious Finals Festival, crafted by the renowned Untitled Group, promises an exhilarating blend of music and sport. The lineup includes both global stars and homegrown talent, ensuring a lively atmosphere during the Australian Open finals weekend.

Stellar Acts to Watch

Kicking off on AO Pride Day, 25th January, the festival will see Australian pop sensation Peach PRC and AO Pride Ambassador Tash Sultana take the stage, along with the ‘Raingurl’ artist Yaeji, Djanaba, Anesu, and DJ Luv You. The excitement continues with the Women’s Final Day featuring DMA’S, The Jungle Giants, Ruel, Tia Gostelow, and DJ Mell Hall. Finally, the Men’s Final Day is set to dazzle with Groove Armada, Rudimental, and other stellar acts.

Untitled Group: The Force Behind the Festival

Untitled Group, Australia’s largest independent music and events promoter, is the driving force behind this musical extravaganza. Known for their successful music festivals like Beyond The Valley and Wildlands, they bring their expertise back to the Australian Open, blending the thrill of tennis with the energy of live music.

John Cain Arena: The New Venue

This year’s festival will be at John Cain Arena, a significant upgrade from the previous year’s venue. With a capacity of 10,000, it’s set to be the largest open-air music event in the arena’s history. It’s an apt choice for such a fusion of world-class tennis and music, right in the heart of Melbourne’s summer.

Tickets: Your Passport to the Fun

Tickets are available for both match-goers and music enthusiasts. Upgrades for match tickets start at $40, while dedicated day passes, inclusive of a ground pass, start at $69. They are available on Ticketmaster from Wednesday, 13th December. This is a chance to experience the Australian Open’s vibrancy, with tennis and music creating a unique and unforgettable atmosphere.
