NSW Wine’s Cellar Door Is Back With A Bang At The Rocks This November

Drink, Sydney / 2 October 2024

New South Wales’ finest winemakers are reuniting after almost a decade for a two-day wine fest in Sydney this November.

In Partnership with The Rocks, NSW Cellar Door will bring the state’s most admirable drops from regional vineyards to our doorstep. This event is the centrepiece of NSW’s new ‘wine month’ concept, a month-long ode to NSW’s liquid gold. Expect a blend of wine events, masterclasses, and citywide celebrations throughout November.

40 regional producers from 16 NSW wine regions will show off their varietals at the NSW Cellar Door, giving tastings and selling bottles to add to your personal collection.

Philip Shaw and Ross Hill will be pouring divine drops from the cool, crisp slopes of Orange. And the Hunter Valley will be represented by the much-loved family-owned brands, Margan and Tyrrell’s. And let’s not forget the Mudgee institutions! Lowe Family Wines and Robert Stein will be dazzling with classic varietals from the region.

NSW producers currently make up just 12% of wine lists in Greater Sydney, and this event is a chance for them to show off their makings and increase their popularity among Sydneysiders. The event will be free, with wine and keepsakes available to purchase. Alongside wine tastings, there’ll be a range of delicious food trucks, and live entertainment to enjoy across the weekend.

Participating Wineries Include:

  • Angullong Logan Thomas Wines
  • Briar Ridge Lowe Toppers Mountain
  • Brokenwood & J Becker Tractorless Vineyard
    Cassegrain Margan Trentham Estate

The Sydney Cellar Door is back and we couldn’t be more excited! Get down to The Rocks to celebrate 235 years of Australian winemaking at this two-day event. NSW’s very first vines were planted at Circular Quay, making the chosen location even more special. From classic grapes to new favourites, this event is the perfect opportunity to learn about the rich history of our state’s wine.
