A New Chapter Begins for The Imperial Hotel Erskineville

The Imperial Hotel Erskineville is entering an exciting new era, with Odd Culture Group taking over operations from 1st September in partnership with Universal Hotels. The iconic LGBTQIA+ venue will undergo a $5 million redevelopment in early 2027, reinforcing its place as one of Sydney's most beloved destinations for nightlife, entertainment and community.

Plans include an expanded beer garden that will almost double the venue's ground-floor footprint, a new 24-hour club and refreshed dining and entertainment experiences. While honouring The Impy's rich history, the redevelopment is set to usher in a vibrant new chapter for the iconic Erskineville institution.
