Sharpen your cooking skills at the fun vegan cheese-making class.

Looking for the perfect date night to impress the special someone? Wanna catch up with your mate (without just going for beers)? On the hunt for a cooking class that’s vegan-friendly? We’ve found the perfect upcoming event to add to your radar.

For anyone who is avoiding animal products, cheese making might seem like an odd event suggestion. But hear us out, because this latest cooking class has no milk or dairy involved.

That’s right, the crew from Omnom Cheese are back for a super-inclusive cheese-making class that’s totally vegan-friendly. The team is hosting a series of Vegan Cheese Making classes (complete with bottomless bubbles) from April 2021.

Throughout this two-hour class, hosted at Omnom HQ on Botany Road studio in Rosebery, you’ll be guided through a hands-on beginner-friendly vegan cheese-making session. You’ll be taught the secrets to create notzarella, all while sipping bottomless bubbles (a.k.a. kombucha).

Throughout the class, the experienced teachers will show you how to whip up stretchy vegan mozzarella and even a sliceable herbed cashew cheese. You’ll even be taught what it takes to get the best possible melty mozzie perfect for pizzas and toasties as well as stunning hard, sliceable basil cashew cheese you’ll want to write home about.

The best bit? You’ll walk away with your own hand-crafted cheese to take home and show off to your friends. Oh, and you’ll even score samples of silky marinated almond feta and vegan butter to keep you fed throughout the session.

Omnom Cheese’s Vegan Cheese Making Classes will be running twice monthly from April 2021  (with sessions locked in from 10th April at 11 am or 2 pm, 14th May at 6:15 pm, and 15th May at 11 am). Tickets cost $99 per person and you can purchase yours online here.
